This unique 1-day seminar is designed to educate the healthcare professional in understanding the physiological impact that nitric oxide, glutathione, and exercise can have on immune physiology, blood sugar, and various health conditions.

Topics presented will include a review of the basic physiology and mechanisms of the nitric oxide and glutathione systems as they relate to autoimmune physiology. In addition, attendees will understand when to and when not to use exercise as a health strategy for clients and approaches to avoid metabolic overtraining syndrome.

A review of human physiology will be followed by laboratory applications, differential diagnoses, and clinical applications. Attendees will also be presented case studies with clinical applications, assessment, and health maintenance (including dietary, lifestyle, and nutritional support) from an evidence-based approach/model, and when to refer for further consultation and/or evaluation. Important clinical jewels and insights will be discussed.

Morning Session

This informative presentation will examine the physiological changes that take place in the endocrine, immune, nervous, and vascular systems with both healthy exercise and overtraining syndrome. The presentation will also analyze the impacts of exercise on diabetes, dementia, autoimmunity, and depression. The immunometabolic mechanisms—such as environment, infection, and food intolerances—and the role they play in individuals who have the inability to lose weight will also be discussed.

This informative seminar will review the protective and destructive roles of nitric oxide and glutathione (GSH) in autoimmune reactions. In addition, the seminar will examine how the body’s GSH recycling systems and internal nitric oxide modulation help increase TH-3 activity, decrease TH-17 activity, modulate TH-1 and TH-2 systems, and support optimal intestinal membrane integrity.
