Education & Background
Dr. Turnpaugh earned his Bachelor of Science in economics and pre-med from Bloomsburg University in 1990 and graduated from Life College of Chiropractic in 1995. He then earned a post-doctorate certification in Functional Neurology through the Carrick Institute in 1997. He has pursued advanced training through the American Academy of Anti-Aging and Aesthetic Medicine (A4M), completing fellowship coursework in Anti-Aging and Lifestyle Medicine, and through the Institute for Functional Medicine (IFM).
Clinical Practice
In 1999, Dr. Chris Turnpaugh opened Turnpaugh Health and Wellness Center to provide his community with in-depth holistic care focused on Functional Medicine. Today, Dr. Turnpaugh and his robust team of 20 healthcare providers and more than 60 team members also offer integrative family medicine, lifestyle medicine, and many other complementary wellness services across three locations.
Specialization
He is a well-known thought leader on Lyme disease and associated co-infections and is a member of the International Lyme and Associated Diseases Society (ILADS). Dr. Turnpaugh also serves on the PANDAS International board and has lectured nationally and internationally on a wide variety of topics. He has a deep interest in, and extensive knowledge of, pediatric neurological disorders and holistic ways to support these children.
